How we handle the personal data you give us on this site, under Ecuador's Organic Law on Personal Data Protection.

1. Who processes your data

The data controller is EMIBEN, based in Quito, Ecuador. For any matter related to your personal data, write to [email protected].

2. What data we collect

Only the data you voluntarily give us when you fill out a form on this site or write to us:

  • Name and title.
  • Institution or company.
  • Email and phone.
  • The details of your requirement (equipment of interest, quantity, intended use and timeline).

We do not ask for sensitive data. Please do not include it in your messages.

3. How we use it

  • To answer your request for information or a quote.
  • To prepare formal offers and verify the legal requirements of the purchase, where applicable.
  • To follow up on your requirement.

We do not sell or rent your data, nor use it to send you advertising without your permission.

4. Legal basis

We process your data with your consent, which you give by ticking the authorization box on the form, and to handle the pre-contractual or contractual relationship you request.

5. Who we share it with

  • Technology service providers that let us receive forms and host this site. They act on behalf of EMIBEN and may have servers outside Ecuador.
  • Represented manufacturers, only when needed to prepare your offer and under confidentiality agreements.
  • Competent authorities, when the law requires it to authorize a purchase or an import.

6. How long we keep it

For as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting business relationship, and for the periods required by law. After that we delete it.

7. Your rights

You may at any time request access to, rectification, updating or deletion of your data, object to its processing, request its portability or withdraw your consent. Write to [email protected] with your request; we will answer within the legal deadlines.

If you believe we did not handle your request, you may contact Ecuador's Superintendency of Personal Data Protection.

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorized access or misuse. Only the EMIBEN staff handling your requirement have access to it.

9. Cookies and measurement

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. To know how many people visit it we use traffic measurement that does not use cookies or identify visitors.

10. Unmanned systems RFI

The RFI form at rfi.emiben.com has its own privacy notice, shown when you fill it out.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version is always the one published on this page.
